Example Create a New Project

To create a new project, you will want to follow the checklist in Design and Installation - Getting Started.

The checklist and the links below do a fairly good job of walling through creating a new project. Therefore, unlike the other examples, this example will just reference other topics in the manual.

• Before starting the project you will need to Obtain a gif or jpg of the Floor Plan

• Run the Design Module

• Open a New Project

• On the Preferences Layer

• Set the Location

• Add Floor Areas

• Please read Tips for Drawing Rooms

• Add Rooms Layer

• Edit Rooms Layer

• If there are stairs connecting two floor areas, then you will have drawn the room containing the stairs on at least two of the floor areas and you need to Combine those Rooms

• Change the Rotation and Tilt of the floor plan as it appears in the Browser GUI

At this point your floor plan is complete and you may want to look at the other examples.
