The Simulate layer allows you to simulate people walking around the house occupying and un-occupying rooms and watching the effect on the devices in the rooms. Usually, you will be running the Design Module off line on your PC and you will bring up a Browser GUI pointed to it. Then, shrink the size of the Design Module and the Browser GUI so both fit on your screen at the same time.
To operate this layer:
click and release your mouse in a room to make that room Occupied and turn it white.
click and drag your mouse from an occupied room to an unoccupied room to simulate walking into that room. This will make both rooms go to the Maybe Occupied state and turn them light green. Scene Continuation, Scene Discontinuation, Sleeping Mode, and Privacy Mode can all be viewed in action.
Wait for the rooms to timeout. White rooms will timeout after the "Occupied timeout" time and light green rooms will timeout after the "Maybe Occupied timeout" time.
Note if you make a room Unoccupied by setting the Room scene of that room to Off in the Room menu of that room, then the room will execute its "Manual Off" timeout which is defaulted to 10 seconds.
