File Menu

  • New: creates a new project.

  • Open  opens an existing project.

  • Save: saves the updated project file.

  • Save as: if the Design Module is presently modifying a project on your PC, then you can use Save as to:

Save the project under a different name on your PC, or

Download the project to a Domain Controller connected to the network.

Alternatively, if the Design Module is presently modifying a project on a Domain Controller, then you can use Save as to upload that project to your PC.

  • Exit: exits the Design Module

 

 

 

Edit Menu

  • Grid Size: allows you to change the grid size on the Add Rooms Layer to make it easier to snap to points on the gif or jpg of the floor plan. This menu item is only available when the Edit Rooms layer is active.

  • User GUI: allows you to change the rotation and tilt of the floor plan in the Browser GUI.

  • UAPI URLs: provides access to the "Ubiquity API".

 

 

 

View Menu

  • Room Name: allows you to toggle the names of the rooms on and off and to change their font size and appearance.

 

Launch Menu

  • Find My Destiny: launches this application.

  • Browser GUI: opens a Browser GUI pointed at the same project that is presently open in the Design Module. If the Design Module is working on a Domain Controller, then it will open the Browser GUI to that Domain Controller. Alternatively, if the Design Module is working off line, then it will attach the Browser GUI to the simulator of the Design Module.

  • Events Menu: launches the Events menu where you can create Groups of Actions without first having to open the Browser GUI.

  • Check My Destiny: launches the Check My Destiny application where you can monitor the behavior of the Domain Controller.

  • Console: launches the Console application. This is not normally used by integrators, but, if you call in for assistance, we may ask to open this menu.

  • Clear the Console: resets the Console screen.

  • DDW: launches the Device Description Wizard.

 

 

Help Menu

  • Manual: opens up this manual.

  • Release Notes: opens up the release notes for the release that is presently running.

  • About: determines the release of the Domain Controller or simulator that is presently running.
