We recommend the following:
Put contact sensor in the door jam above all exterior doors. This enables the Graphical User Interface to indicate that all exterior doors are closed.
Put dead bolt sensors on all exterior doors. This allows an indication of which doors are locked.
You may also want to put contact sensors on interior doors. This will be used in a future HPS-optimizing mode.
For garage doors we recommend the GRI 4532 Series Door Switch Set as it provides a contact closure with a "working gap of over 2 inches".
