Below are the steps for downloading an individual Device Description File from the Destiny Library to your user library on your PC. Note that it is a little easier to Download All DDF's and update your whole library than it is to get just one file.

Navigate to the AV component you wantYou may want to read or print these directions firs (Browse for a Device Description File. ), then, click onThe screen at the right will pop up. Please enter the user name and password for our password-protected web site.

Click on the type of AV component.
|
|
Click on the manufacturer of the AV component.
|
|
Save the TargetThis is the tricky part. on the file you want. Select "Save Target As". The "Save As" menu will pop up on your PC (as shown below).

Navigate to the Destiny Library on your PCNavigate to the root of the User Library of Device Description Files: C:\Program Files\Destiny Networks\Projects\UserDeviceFiles

Create a Device "Type" FolderIf a folder of the same "Type of Device" exists, then double click on the icon for the type of AV component.
Note, you may have far fewer folders in this directory than shown at the right.

Create a Device "Manufacturer" FolderIf a folder of the same "manufacturer" exists, then double click on the icon for the manufacturer of the AV component.

Save the Device Description File to the Destiny Library on your PCWhen you get to this point, click "Save". You are done. |
