Universal MRF-200 to Domain 3000

The new Powered RF Antenna directly receives signals from the MX-800 and MX-3000 without any additional cabling.

However, if you do want to interface the MRF-200 to the IR input of the Domain 3000 or 5000, then please do the following.

To build the cable that connects the MRF-200 base station to the Domain 3000, please do the following.

Build the Cable

Purchase a Xantech 480B-00 Dinky Link IR receiver or equivalent and a stereo jack.

Wire the Dinky Link to the stereo jack as shown below.

Remove one of the IR emitters from the box of emitters supplied with the MRF-200 and attach it to the end of the Dinky Link.

Cover the end of the Dinky Link in black tape (or use heat shrink tubing for a nicer look), but do not cover the end of the Dinky Link closest to the wires because that end indicates that a signal is being received.

Plug the IR emitter into the MRF-200 base station.

Configure the Ubiquity Software for the MX-800 or MX-3000 Remote Control

Add a remote control to the AV Remote Control layer of the Design Module.

Change the "Model" to type "Any Remote using Ubiquity ccf addr 83".

Click the "Controlled by (and wired to) check box at the bottom of the menu.

For the "Port", select "D3K-RF to IR (Digital Input 2)".

Click OK.
