Before sheet rock
Install a “capture cylinder”

1” exterior, 7/8” interior diameter
4” long
3/8” hole 1/2” from one end
Mount it to a 2x4
3/4“ U-shaped EMT fitting
One dry wall screw in the end
Extending 5/8” into the room
Ends up flush with sheet rock
Explain to the contractor and sheet rocker what you are doing
Cylinder should end up flush with dry wall
Just like a light can
Add the wire
Through the rear hole (where the screw hole) and tape
Coil 10” in the capture cylinder
Let 6” dangle outside the cylinder
Expect to install about 10 capture cylinders per hour
After sheet rock and mud for flush finish
Clean cylinder with a sheet rock knife or razor
Put flange on spy and splice to wire
After the walk test, insert with a touch of silicon glue
