Using the 12V trigger output.
If you are using an amplifier or any other component that you would like to on and off, but that does not have an on/off control of its own, then you can plug it into a Xantech AC1 and control if via a relay connected to the Domain Controller.

Connect the AC1 as shown above. Then, in the Design Module in the Entertainment layer turn on the power to the device automatically by:
Opening the Info menu of the component that is plugged into the AC1,
Clicking the check box for "Energize a relay (to turn on)",
Closing the Info menu,
And connecting a wire from a relay to the relay port of that component.
Note that most amplifiers require some time to warm up before turning on. This will cause a delay between turning on the source and hearing the audio.
