Xantech CSM1 Current Sensor

For A/V components that do not have a Video sync output but do have a difference between their off current and their on current, you can use the Xantech CSM1 Current Sensor to determine the power status.

CSM1 features:

  • Variable threshold allows adjustment of current sensing threshold (>20mA to <10A) to be within the ON/OFF AC current range of the controlled component.

  • ON/OFF status LED.

Overview

Architecture

Plug the 110V plug of the AV component whose current will be monitored into the electrical socket of the Xantech CSM1.

Connect a wire from the CSM1 to the Domain Controller using the wiring diagrams below.

Plug the CSM1 into a 110V outlet.

Domain 3000 Wiring

Plug the 3.5mm plug of the Xantech CSM1 Current Sensor directly into one of the Digital Input ports of the Domain 3000. The Domain 3000 digital inputs have been configured to work directly with this sensor, so no re-wiring is necessary.

Ubiquity Software

In the schematic view, connect a wire from the "Power Sync" port of the AV component to monitor to the Domain 3000 "Video Sync Input / Digital Input" port as shown at the right.

The sensing should be "High wen On".
