Bring up the Wireless Network Connections Properties menu
Bring up the "Network Neighborhood" menu
Go to the desktop
Right click on "Network Neighborhood" and choose "Properties".
You will get the list of "Network Connections" on your computer.
Bring up the "Wireless Network Connection Properties" menu
Right click on the "Wireless Network Connection" and select "Properties".
Select the "Wireless Networks" tab
You should get one of the menus below:
Select the "Wireless Networks" tab
Select the appropriate available wireless network in the . It should be highlighted in blue as show above. Click the "Properties" button. You will typically get one of the two menus below.
If you get the menu on the left (but with dots instead of 1234512345) then you should have authenticated access to the network, but if not try the suggestions below.
If you have the one on the right, then it is likely that you do not have authenticated access to the access point.
The best thing to do at this point is
Find your WEP key
Uncheck the item above labeled "The key is provided for me automatically"
Enter your WEP key in the white box labeled "Network Key"
Click OK (twice)
After that, you should have authenticated access to the Access point. You may want to go on to Test to see if you PC has TCP/IP connectivity
